There are good companies in the PCD market and there are plenty that are only there to collect a first order. Run these ten checks - most problems get caught right here.
1. The actual WHO-GMP certificate
Writing it on a website costs nothing. Ask for a copy of the certificate and look at the unit address and the validity date. The address should be the manufacturing unit's.
2. Drug licence number
Ask for the manufacturing licence number. It can be verified.
3. Do they refuse a factory visit?
A genuine company does not refuse. If someone declines, or produces excuses like renovation work, do not go further. Our Derabassi unit can be visited any time by appointment.
4. Do they manufacture themselves or elsewhere?
Ask whether manufacturing is in their own unit or on loan licence. Both are legitimate, but you should know which. Quality control tends to be tighter where the company owns the plant.
5. A written rate list
With both net rate and MRP on it. A company that hesitates to put rates in writing is where a rate dispute starts later.
6. Monopoly agreement on letterhead
A verbal promise is nothing. The district and the division should both be named clearly.
7. Do you get a Certificate of Analysis?
A COA should come with every batch. It is the most solid evidence of quality there is. If it does not come, testing is not being taken seriously.
8. How long have they been running?
Since when has the company operated? How many partners does it have? We have been working since 2008 and have completed more than 5,05,000 order deliveries.
9. A straight answer on promotional support
What exactly comes - visual aid, product cards, LBLs, reminder cards? Does it come with the order or is it charged separately? A vague answer here becomes a problem later.
10. Ask a chemist
The easiest and most reliable test. Ask two or three chemists in your area whether that company's products come in, and whether supply arrives on time. That is the real feedback.

- A franchise fee or security deposit demanded
- Willing to supply without a drug licence
- Factory visit refused
- Monopoly refused in writing
- "The whole state" promised
- Heavy pressure to order quickly
